AIM for Zero: Suicide Care is Healthcare Symposium
The Suicide Prevention Center of New York (SPCNY) at the New York State Office of Mental Health hosted a suicide prevention symposium titled “AIM for Zero: Suicide Care is Healthcare” in September 2021. This virtual symposium brought together the leading suicide prevention experts to discuss the impact and importance of the Zero Suicide framework in healthcare systems, the importance of equity and inclusivity, and strategies for high impact healthcare outcomes, while highlighting cutting edge tools for implementation.

New York State Suicide Prevention Conference
Given the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, OMH has made the decision to postpone the NYS Suicide Prevention Conference. We remain steadfast in our commitment to convene all New Yorkers involved in suicide prevention across the state and to provide high caliber, relevant content for participants. With the impact of the pandemic changing on a regular basis, it simply doesn’t allow for the development of the type of conference that communities have come to expect over the last four years. The OMH Suicide Prevention Office and its affiliate, the Suicide Prevention Center of New York, will continue to work to meet the shifting demands of suicide prevention for New York State over the next year.
